    Policies, hygiene, safety, licensing, and preparing healthy meals — the foundation of safe, nourishing childcare.

    03ECEA 3

    Child Guidance & Behavior

    Clear language structures and positive guidance techniques that support learner fluency and emotional growth.

    CEC graduates apply to British Columbia's Early Childhood Educator Registry to receive their ECEA credential — and we guide you through every requirement.

    Good Character

    Demonstrate the personality, ability and temperament needed to work with children.

    STEP 02

    Course Completion

    Relevant training and experience completed within the last 5 years as an Early Childhood Educator Assistant.

    STEP 03

    Suitable Abilities

    Demonstrate the skills required for the role through the program's practical components.

    How to apply for certification

    Three steps to register with the ECE Registry once you've finished the program.

    1. 1Submit your application to the director of the ECE Registry using the official application form.
    2. 2Demonstrate your qualifications: good character, suitable ability, relevant training, and required skills.
    3. 3Provide the CEC course outline to the director for review.
