Hiring English teachers in Egypt
Too many CVs, too little evidence. Every hire becomes a judgement call made on one hour in a meeting room — and the cost of getting it wrong lands on your students, your parents and your reputation.

The evidence should arrive before the interview.
Every CEC teacher arrives with an independent assessment of their English, teaching and classroom practice — so the interview confirms a decision instead of guessing at one.
The big idea
We do the evaluation first. You just choose.
Reading CVs and guessing
Assessment scores and verified references arrive before your first call.

Experience levels
Not every vacancy needs a veteran, and not every budget stretches to one. Choose the level the role actually calls for — each one assessed to the same standard.

Supervised trainees for schools that prefer to grow their own teachers.

Assessed early career teachers ready for their first full-time classroom.

Classroom-proven teachers who contribute from their first week.

International English speakers for schools with a native-speaker promise.
Need native English speakers?
International teachers are available on request, with the same assessment evidence and no separate placement fee.
Who you'll be hiring
Nursery phonics, IB literature, IELTS preparation — the network is deep enough that you are choosing between strong candidates, not settling for whoever applied.

1,240
Phonics and play-based specialists.

1,860
IB, Cambridge and national curriculum.

1,082
IELTS, TOEFL and business English.

Who you are partnering with
Not a recruitment agency. We set the standard teachers are measured against, and we are accountable for it — which is why schools can trust the evidence in front of them.
“We are not paid to place people. We are accountable for the standard.”

Old way vs. CEC
The difference is not effort. It is evidence: what you know about a teacher before you spend an hour interviewing them.
Institutional partners
The Canadian Education Council collaborates with educational institutions, universities and professional organisations committed to raising teaching standards. Those relationships are what make an assessment mean something before you interview.

Recruitment agencies introduce candidates first and leave schools to discover whether they are actually the right fit. The Canadian Education Council works differently: every teacher is assessed against a transparent Canadian professional standard before becoming visible to participating employers, so schools review verified evidence rather than assumptions. There are no placement commissions, no sales incentives and no pressure to hire. As a Canadian federal non-profit, our goal is simple — help schools hire better teachers through objective assessment and trusted evidence.
Unlike a traditional CV, every teacher is evaluated using a structured Canadian professional framework and receives verified evidence across four dimensions: English language proficiency, teaching competency, observed classroom performance, and verified qualifications and professional credentials. Before you schedule an interview you can read a complete assessment report showing strengths, competencies and areas of expertise, so hiring decisions are faster and more confident.
Most schools receive their first ranked shortlist within 72 hours of posting a vacancy, because the assessment work is already done. Average time from vacancy to signed offer across partner schools is 21 days.
The majority are Egyptian teachers based in Cairo, Giza and Alexandria and available now. Native and international teachers from Canada, the UK, the USA, South Africa and Australia are available when a role specifically calls for them.
Founding employers receive a replacement shortlist free of charge within the first term, and we review the assessment record with you so the next match is stronger.
Everyone involved in the decision. Seats are unlimited, so HR, principals and academic directors review the same evidence and agree faster.
$199 per month for unlimited hiring, with no placement fees and no setup fees. Founding employers keep that rate for as long as they stay subscribed.
